Washington State University Vancouver Biology Program is seeking
applicants for Adjunct Faculty to teach an ecology course with one lab
section during the 8-week Summer 2017 semester (June 5 – August 1).
*General Ecology [M] (Biol 372): * 4 credits (3 lecture credit and 3 lab
contact hours). Relationship of organisms with physical and biotic
components of their environment at the population, community, and
ecosystem level. Field trips may be required. Prerequisite: Biol 106
(Introductory Biology) and Chem 105 (Principles of chemistry I).
Lecture: Monday and Wednesday: 11:00 am – 1:30 pm; lab: Monday and
Wednesday 1:45 – 4:15 pm. Expected Enrollment: 20 - 24 students
(maximum of 24 per lab section). Instructor will have access to existing
course materials.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in a related
discipline. Preferred qualifications include experience in teaching
undergraduate courses at a college level. Successful candidates must
demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse student and community
populations.
*COMPENSATION:* Total lecture (3-credits) and lab (3-contact hours)
compensation of $7,833.
