The Wildland Resources Department and the Ecology Center at Utah State
University invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in
Movement Ecology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will
be 50% research, 40% teaching, and 10% service. The appointed faculty member
will be expected to develop an externally funded research program that
achieves an international reputation for research and graduate training in
the field of movement ecology in the terrestrial environment. Research
areas and skills of particular interest include, but are not limited to:
dispersal and migration of organisms as individuals and in groups; movement
behavior; invasion ecology; disease ecology; population and community
ecology; analysis and management of biotelemetry data; habitat choice and
resource selection; mark-recapture techniques; etc. Fundamental to this
position is working across disciplinary and institutional boundaries and
collaborating with federal and state agencies. The appointed faculty member
will mentor and advise graduate students and post-doctoral researchers from
diverse backgrounds, as well as teach courses (potentially online) to
undergraduate and graduate students within the area of expertise. Review of
