We are seeking a skilled and motivated candidate to assist with field and laboratory research in biogeochemistry in Steven Hall’s lab at Iowa State University (https://stevenhallecology.wordpress.com). The specific focus of this position is to coordinate a federally funded project evaluating environmental impacts of agricultural wetlands in northwest Iowa with respect to nitrate leaching and greenhouse gas emissions. This would be an ideal position for a recent BS or MS graduate who is looking to gain additional experience prior to pursuing additional graduate training. The duration of this position will be 12 months, with possibility for renewal. Start date is flexible, but preferably before October 15, 2017. Qualifications: BS degree and research experience, experience with fieldwork under adverse conditions, an understanding of soil, hydrologic, and biogeochemical processes, a valid drivers license, and at least some experience with analytical chemistry.
