We are excited to announce the Dendro Intensive Summer Courses (DISC) at the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona. We offer three intensive courses in the topic areas of dendroarchaeology, dendroecology and dendroclimatology. Our courses cover theory, field and laboratory skills, and current research applications of dendrochronology in each topic area. Students will take a multi-day field trip to sites in the Southwest to collect data for analysis in the course. While students focus on a particular topic area, our courses include cross-cutting lectures and much interaction among students and professors across disciplines.
Our courses are scheduled from May 14th – June 1st, 2018. Please see the website for more information: http://ltrr.arizona.edu/summerschool We will be updating the website with field trip locations and registration information.
