The National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) has excess air-dried soil
from our Puerto Rico sites (Guanica
Forest<http://www.neonscience.org/field-sites/field-sites-map/GUAN> and Lajas
Experiment
Station<http://www.neonscience.org/field-sites/field-sites-map/LAJA>) collected
in 2017 pre and post hurricane. While the sites did not undergo massive
hurricane damage, they still received large amounts of rainfall and the forest
site lost a number of trees. If anyone is interested in obtaining these soils
for research purposes and has a USDA permit to receive them, please fill out
the form on this page<http://www.neonscience.org/request-excess-soil-samples>
(description of intended research can be brief) and we will contact you. Cheers.
