Distinguishing left and right wings in *Drosophila melanogaster*, wings in
prepared slides

Dear Colleagues:

I have numerous prepared microscope slides of body parts of mostly *Drosophila
melanogaster* (one fly per slide). While I can distinguish left from right
3rd pair of legs, I cannot (yet) distinguish left vs right wings. If you
know of any 100% reliable trait of the wings that could help me assign
dorsal vs. ventral, of course, I will be able to tell left from right.

If you have any constructive suggestion, please email me directly (
blayjo...@gmail.com).

In gratefulness for any illumination, sincerely,

Jorge

P.S. In retrospect, of course, I should have placed the left wing facing up
and to the left of the right wing and labeled them.

Apologies if you receive duplicate emails.
