Position Summary
About SF Bay Program and the Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary:

Audubon CA’s San Francisco Bay Program works to protect this globally important
estuary for the benefit of birds and people by leading priority habitat
conservation projects and engaging closely on policy issues that impact the
Bay’s suite of natural resources. Ecologically, the program focuses primarily
on subtidal habitat conservation to support the eelgrass-herring-waterbird
system. Our efforts also include innovative, climate resilient, living
shorelines projects at places like Sonoma Creek and Aramburu Island, and
waterbird monitoring at Richardson Bay and Point Richmond. The Richardson Bay
Audubon Center and Sanctuary (RBACS) in Tiburon serves as the home base of the
Bay Program. Additional Center-based programming includes community-based
restoration of native habitats, engagement efforts to develop future
generations of conservationists, and priority conservation actions to protect
key natural resources within our Sanctuary. Together, the Bay Program and the
Center collaborate closely with partners throughout the Bay Area and along the
California coast to leverage our work into large-scale conservation gains for
the Pacific Flyway.

About the position: The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) will provide
crucial staff support across a suite of programs focused on volunteer-based
restoration of native habitats in San Francisco Bay (mostly on/near RBACS) and
