The Environmental Monitoring and Science Division of Alberta Environment and Parks has an immediate opening for two Watershed Scientsts. These positions will specifically focus on understanding the effect of anthropogenic activities on the transport, transformations and fate of key chemical constituents in Alberta's watersheds, including as part of the Oil Sands Monitoring program. A PhD in aquatic geochemistry, sediment geochemistry, organic chemistry, watershed hydrology or a related field is required. The position requires a minimum of 2 years post-doctoral or equivalent work experience in the design and implementation of watershed science projects. In addition, applicants must have a demonstrated record of publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals commensurate with established peers with a similar level of experience. Candidates with lesser qualifications will be considered, potentially at a lower classification and salary.
