Mississippi State University Marine Fisheries Ecology Internship

The Mississippi State University Marine Fisheries Ecology Lab is seeking
applicants for an internship position working under the direction of Dr.
Marcus Drymon and extension associates at the Coastal Research and
Extension Center (CREC) in Biloxi, MS. Paid internships are available
starting March 18th and ending November 1st.

Qualified applicants will assist with various field projects, primarily
assisting with shark bottom longline surveys throughout the northern Gulf
of Mexico. Applicants will be responsible for preparing gear, assisting
with field shark and fish dissections, collecting samples, collecting and
entering data, and taking care of other various laboratory processing
tasks. In addition to lab and field work, incumbents will also be required
to assist with outreach and education events. Travel for field work and
outreach events may be necessary.
