provided to a graduate student (M.A. or Ph.D.) who provides a
single-authored, original paper dealing with development studies,
development geography, or geographic research in a developing country. The

evaluated by Directors of the specialty group and the winner will be
announced in advance of the Annual Meeting. In order to be considered,
students need to send an electronic copy of their paper by January 13, 2014

[email protected].

proposal that summarizes the project and its significance, a list of
references cited in the proposal, and a CV. Proposal submissions will be
evaluated by Directors of the specialty group and the winner will be
announced in advance of the Annual Meeting. In order to be considered,
students need to send an electronic copy of their proposal by January 13,

a DGSG sponsored session. Organizers should select DGSG as a sponsor when
registering their session on the AAG website (Specialty Groups are not able
to undertake this task). Deadline to obtain sponsorship and register
sessions is December 3, 2013.

Best wishes,
