Research Associate: Re-Imagining Economies - B208338R

£39,610 per annum

Geography at Newcastle University wishes to appoint an outstanding 
post-doctoral research fellow (PDRF) to a one-year fellowship in Economic 
Geography.  The role is aimed at those in the immediately postdoctoral stage of 
their career (within 2 years of PhD award), with independent research interests 
around: reimagining economies in more socially and / or environmentally 
progressive ways, and challenges of inclusive growth in the wake of economic 
crisis and austerity. The role will provide the successful candidate with a 12 
month opportunity for focused independent study to consolidate their PhD 
research through new publications; to develop new grant applications; and to 
help organise monthly reading groups on Inclusive Economies.  You will hold a 
PhD in Economic Geography or related discipline, and evidence a successful 
track record of high quality publications in international journals, 
commensurate with the applicant's career stage.
