The Department of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Graz (Austria), invites applications for a six-year postdoctoral position (University Assistant, full-time or part-time) in the field of economic geography and more-than-human geographies.
The position can be filled at the next possible date. The position includes • Collaboration within the research group ComPASS (human geography / economic geography) • Research activities in the field of economic geographies and more-than-human geographies • Contribution to one of the thematic fields of the research group, such as in particular on commodities / commodification, markets and consumption, agro-food studies, (collaborative) workplaces, commodification of nature, regions and regionalization, or new regional geographies in (Southeastern) Europe (related to the field of excellence "Dimensions of Europeanisation") • Independent conduction of a research project • International research collaborations and active participation in grant applications • Teaching human/economic geography courses in the bachelor programmes in Geography and Environmental System Science, the master programme Sustainable Urban and Regional Development, and teacher training programme in geography and economics • Providing assistance to students • Involvement in the University's self-administration Your Profile • Completed PhD in human geography or a related discipline • Profound knowledge of theory and (in particular qualitative) methods • Convincing publication record and research strategy • Very good command of English; good command of German (of advantage) • High level of communicational and organizational skills, ability to work in a team and creativity skills • Academic curiosity and pleasure in conveying geographic knowledge • Motivation for interdisciplinary and international cooperation More details and link to application form: https://uni-graz.jobbase.io/job/utu7glcc4otbrxjjt6dyrlk8scc073 For any questions about the position please contact Ulrich Ermann: ulrich.erm...@uni-graz.at
