Continuing calls for 'green recovery' in the wake of Covid-19 heighten possibilities for radical transformation of economies, albeit with a wide range of potential pathways, from radical degrowth to revamped low carbon capitalism. These changes are prompting reflection from scholars across the field of geography, planning and allied disciplines. How might we better understand the different impacts (and possibilities) of a sustainable (or 'green') economy? This seminar series showcases cutting edge theoretical and empirical work across these fields, from researchers at different career stages, asking critical questions about the nature and geography of transition from a range of angles. The next session in the series focuses on Green technologies and regional development, with talks from leading researchers Dr Simone Grabner (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy) and Prof Sandro Montresor (Gran Sasso Science Institute, Italy): * Thursday 28th April, 12:30 - 13:30 BST (13:30 CEST) * On the geography of green and digital technologies: what's beyond relatedness? - Prof Sandro Montresor (Gran Sasso Science Institute, Italy) * Interregional Linkages for Green Technological Diversification in Core and Peripheral Regions - Dr Simone Grabner (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy) We look forward to seeing you there! Best wishes Sebastian Losacker (session chair), Camilla Chlebna, Will Eadson, and Laura Norris (series organisers)
