If mosquitoes are a problem then now is the time to
work on bat habitat.  Bats are very unique as is there
habitat.

The following suggestions are reported to produce about
80 percent success rates in attracting bats:

1. Locate a bat house in area that warms up to 90-100F on sunny
   days.  It helps to use dark colors.
   
2. Your bat house should be hung no less than 10 feet off the ground.

3. You need to have a source of water within 1/4 mile of the bat house. 
   Ponds and pools in slow-flowing creeks work well.

4. Since bats climb using their thumbs a rough surface is helpful.
