A few years ago i predicted an energy crisis and it seems to
be building. Those in power appear to believe "the market"
will automatically adjust and a few tweaks will fix this
problem. It doesn't look possible to me.
For the short term it looks like corporate power will
dominate the world. This will have negative impacts on the
ecology and sustainable ideas world wide.
Surveys show those with more education mostly agree on what
the problems are and solutions. The rest of society seems to
believe whatever they see in the media. This gap between the
thinkers and the "followers" will be interesting to watch.
The use of caffeine has accelerated in the last few years and
i expect to see health problems appearing soon.
My goal for this year is to experiment with thermal mass
(water) to a solar greenhouse. So far i've found a source of
55 gallon drums used to hold flavorings. these are being
sunk half in the ground and the top used as a bench. A
thermometer will be placed in the soil and measurements made.
