Thanks, this was an interesting site. I wish the forums were
available by email though.

Found a great quote here:
"protecting the climate is actually good for the economy.
Greenhouse-gas emissions are simply the byproduct of
uneconomical wasteful use of resources."
"Being more efficient not only reduces emissions, it saves
money and increase economic competitiveness"

I'm having trouble accepting natural capitalism. On the
surface it looks good but does it deal with:
1. local and democratic processes? This includes
Schumackers ideas and divergent cultures that view
the ecology differently (diversity and tolerance).
2. Does it balance domination (manipulation) of ecology
with the preservation of natural areas?
It does look like a step forward and worth supporting.

This site presented an interesting direction for science and
technology. Why not?

Ah.. the mini composters. I'm still trying to keep the
compost worms alive in a somewhat natural setting (the
compost pile). Our cold winters are a problem as is the
high rain fall. Last year i managed to overwinter them
using a covered compost pile but they have a dubious future.
I'm thinking other techniques may work better at this site.
For small sites and urban areas the worms seem to work
much better. The greenhouse might be another possible
application?
