Skirret is in the same family as the deadly hemlocks. Water hemlock in particular has feathery leaves and parsnip-ish roots. It's quite deadly. I don't have access to my books on wild foods and I've never lived anywhere where skirret goes, so I can't add any thing else to the subject. ==>paul
