Here in Ireland there are only half a dozen earth sheltered houses.
So they haven't seen them. So they don't like what they haven't seen.
In the end people tend to get tired and build what they are allowed
to build. The house we live in now was built 60 years ago from mass
concrete and has to have had the world's worst Uvalues in its
original form - which it isn't in now. its amazing what a south
facing conservatory does for fuel consumption
