Mr laRue...do you really think that whatever is presented on television is
to provide information? Perhaps this individual didn't want that particular
assignment, but more programs are produced than are actually aired. What is
their criteria for airing a particular program? Why did their chose to air
this one?
As a librarian I am well aware of the importance of information.
Information can become empowerment. But I am also aware of filtering what
I read, see or hear. Not all of it is truth. Also the truth can be
presented in such a way that it becomes a form of deception. Particular
events can be used as a form of manipulation.
Look at all of the people who were whipped up into a patriotic froth by
being exposed to those airliners flying into the towers. I think that this
served W Bush and his corporate friends well. Look how well this so called
news has served to take our eyes off of the evronmental problems facing us.
Look at all of the billions now being wasted by our frightened politicans.
These people are masters of gossip I would say.
I also have gone for long periods w/o TV. At the moment I do not have one
tho I am obvisously connected into the system through this. I am just as
informed as anyone with the deluxe cable subscription.
