Herbs: The Dec. 8th issue of Science News has a page on
Biomedicine. It adds to the proof that
herbs are important to good health. One article
reports a strong link between stopping Alzheimers
disease and curcumin. This translates into turmeric
       and yellow curry.

Looking at the hundreds of studies which connect diet
and natural food to health makes me wonder about our
food supply. Why do consumers accept so much junk food
       and ignore the facts?

Religion: The Fall issue of Talking Leaves Magazine had some
interesting thoughts about religion. One article
defined spirituality as "life force" or whatever
gives meaning to life. It is part of daily life
       and our motivation to act.

In other words, many organized religions have tried
to take over the original idea of spirituality and
reshape it to fit. If we want to restore meaningful
and dynamic religion the first step is to take back
the word spirituality and explore it.

Laundry: An organization devoted to hanging out laundry?
Yes, and why not? We waste huge amounts of energy
       and manufacturing on clothes dryers.
