It looks like you are still missing parts of docbook. Maybe you have
only installed the online part, not the printed part?
You are absolutely right. It required the (additional) installation of
docbook-dsssl and then the script went through. With lots of warnings, but
at the end, the pdf was there. Thanks a lot you and all others for your
help.
