i'd say that you might want to roll your own here!
there are a whole lot of stuff that you might use ECS for that cries out
for this type of pattern eg. having factory methods for styling that return
elements with attribute presets according to meta-data etc. or database
linked methods that return eg. option elements filled with data from a
query...
in my (very humble) opinion i'd say that including this kind of stuff in
the core wouldn't neccessarily be a good idea - it sort of feels like a
natural extension but this kind of stuff might get in the way of good
design for the core (where would you stop...?).
(maybe somebody'd like to jump in on that last one).
