As far as I know, Gentran 2.11 doesnt support connecting to databases for what she wants to do. It uses an ODBC database as the EDI System backend, however you can't, for example, use a query as the input source to a map. This feature is supposed to be in version Gentran 3.0, which I was promised back in December, but was never given, so I can't verify this.

Subject: Gentran to SQL
I am trying to set up Gentran Win NT for a single server. We are using
Gentran 2.1 with SQL 6.5 and trying to connect to a Progress 8 data base. I
can not get Genrtran nor SQL to pull data from my Progress data base. My
OBDC connection will only look at either Gentran or SQL. Does anyone have
any tips that might be helpful?
Thanks
