DISA is hosting two seminars in conjunction with the next X12 Trimester
meeting that will be held at the Hilton Washington & Towers in Washington,
DC June 4-9, 2000.  The seminars will be held concurrently so if you are

Practical Internet Security

This seminar will provide the description of basic security issues,
low-cost solutions for Internet data exchanges and how to use existing IT
infrastructures for Internet security. Information needed to support
enterprise decisions for implementing hybrid EC/EDI systems to use both
traditional VANs and the Internet will also be addressed.  Other topics of
discussion include:

competitors, trading parties, etc.
                   Data protection techniques anyone can use to protect
business files, communications channels                 and audit trails while en route

and virtual private networks.
                    Case reports Internet business prototypes for
purchasing, shipping and paying.
                    Overview of products that meet interoperability,
security and affordability criteria.
                    Demo of secure Internet transaction interchange using
free Web browsers.
