Harbinger's gone... never to return... including all the big guys who took
their money and left during the night. If you go to harbinger.com you get
peregrine. Peregrine purchased them for their standing customer base -
which they probably figure they can sell their stuff to - and for the
maintenance dollars that base represents. If it takes 2-3 years for that
maintenance to fade, and they can sell something (including some trumped up
version of old software with no doc) to 10-12% of the Harbinger base, then
it was a good deal. The point is that things aren't likely to change for
TLE or e-v5 or anything else. It's not Peregrine's line of work; they don't
want to get into it; and they really don't care what most of us think.

Subject: Further Issues

Another reason I am reluctant to purchase further Harbinger products is the
lack
of delivering everything promised. TLE 4.2 added new features to it's
products
- but where is the documentation on these new features? Their were new books
issued - which were nothing more than 4.1 books with a fancy new cover. I
have
repeatedly gone to TLE Support with questions about these new features and
told
there is no documentation ANYWHERE and there isn't going to be any.
Harbinger
is focusing on e-v5 and don't think they need to worry about all of us who
bought something else. With service like that, and a history of software
upgrades that don't work as promised - you'd have to be nuts to DEMAND the
customer solve their problems by buying yet another product.
