Hi Roger,

You should be able to map the PO number to a temporary field of one
occurrence and then map the temporary field to BIG04. You will need an use
an extend rule to map only when the qualifier is equal to 001. I believe
there is an example of this in the Gentran tutorial using bill to and ship
to address.

Subject: Mapping INVOIC01 to 810; Gentran 3.1

I am building a map to convert a SAP INVOIC01 idoc to an 810.

We've just installed Gentran and I am struggling with mapping a looping IDOC
segment (E2EDK02) to BIG04.

Gentran won't let you map a looping structure to one that is not looping. I
need to extract the PO number (field name BELNR) from E2EDK02 when a
qualifier field (QUALF) value is "001". The segement E2EDK02 can be iterated
up to 9 times, each iteration contains a different qualifier value and
document number, ie PO, Invoice, Packing slip, etc.

Any suggestions around extend rules or indexes will be truely appreciated.
