Rich, I concur.

I think this list is appropriate for any and all discussions relating to the
electronic exchange of data, whether using X12, EDIFACT, XML or some other
structuring rules and whether by dial-up, VAN, Internet or carrier pigeon.

Au contraire, I think that the listserv is made for these kind of
discussions.   If not, we'd be relegated to an endless discussion of the use
of 997s and calculating the date of Easter.  :-{)
