I was worried too, so I wrote my sales rep. Here is his reply:

Hello Michael! Although the strategic direction of the company is move
toward vertical markets with concentration on our EAI solutions, the Desktop
version of Mercator (Mapper product) remains an important and powerful
product for the company. However, the Trading Partner (EDI) solution will be
either sold to another company or "sun-set" as of August 2002. That is when
support will cease from a Mercator perspective. Feel free to call me with
any questions!
