Director is workstation only with an Access backend, and doesn't like to be pushed very hard. Server is client/server with a SQL backend, and more robust with a few extra bells and whistles. Both can have the tools to create maps, or not, depending on what you license. Director does have support for hooking up to mailboxes but I don't know how flexible it is (we connect to Sterling and it does ok, but no surprise there). Sonja, speak with Sterling's support to see if Director can do what is needed to connect to your iSoft mailbox. If not, you could try speaking with iSoft, and see if they can drop the files on your network via VPN, then you can just pick up the file.
