I suppose it depends on what you mean by "maping". Do you have an existing set of maps for a particular translator? Or do you have documents you want to tranlsate from one format to another, say from X12 to a proprietary flatfile format? Knowing this information will aide us in directing you to the right vendor, as there are *many* on the market today. I, of course, will direct you to xmlLinguist, the EDI to XML Translator at http://www.sysonyx.com/products/xmllinguist . It's designed to take any structered text document and translate it into XML, and visa-versa. Thus, you can translate flatfiles, X12 documents, etc. The mapper is affordable ($79.95 USD) and the runtime automation engine is royalty free. It is a Windows based utility, that may or may not make a difference. And as I said, the engine is bi-directional, so some of our clients use it to go from one text document to another with an XML stylesheet in the middle.
