SCeBF MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - November 9, 2005
This meeting is for you if high data quality and fast implementation are
important in your business!
As conflicting XML messages proliferate, ASC X12 has developed a new XML
architecture, called Context Inspired Component Architecture (CICA), which
enables users to build XML business documents in a cross-industry setting.
CICA constructs allow implementers to create data models. These data models
can be used to create XML messages or become the basis for harmonizing the
information used for EDI transactions. The presentation will provide an
introductory overview of how to create CICA data models. It will show what
the various CICA constructs are and how to use them to assemble an
X12-compliant XML message. The presentation will also show how CICA can be
used to enhance implementation of traditional X12 EDI transactions.
