I've got some parent / child tables that I'm creating using a Gentran Server NT 4.0 ODBC map. How should I manage the rowIDs to connect the tables? 1. Use SQL Server to create the Rowid and then retrive it for the later tables. If I use this method, should I use a stored procedure? or 2. Use another database fields and simply add one and then update the fields.
I was hoping for some best practices / previous experience and opionions. Some examples would be wonderful! As always, thank you! Shawn Aker [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] .
