And the fact that the NTE does not appear any longer in the 850 was a result of several DM's I submitted to X12 in the early 1990's which attempted to delete all NTE segments in all transaction sets in which it occurred. The DM's were approved for all but a small one or two transaction sets - I can recall which ones. Unfortunately, the MSG segment reared its ugly head. Oh well . . .
