No comment on GP, since we don't use it. We have a client where we send a file to GP with PO data and get a file for Invoices. GP can easily import and export data, so you shouldn't feel 'locked in' to any solution... I don't think that GP comes with any EDI built in. The people selling it will probably recommend something that they are familiar with. I'm sure that Microsoft can also sell you a BizTalk connector...
