I've used the examples from the existing X12 to XML conversion utilities.  They 
have useful examples, and it's pretty simple to figure out how the XML was 
created from the X12 docs...

You can just give your guy one of the samples...
(I'll email you a couple of samples..)

I don't think that you will find a 'published' or 'standard' XML layout.
