I was at a client site today and he mentioned one of their techie guys
said they should migrate to ebXML as this is the latest and greatest new
technology.
I know that the OASIS group adopted ebXML, and so did OAGi -- all about
5 years ago. However, the OAGi site doesn't specifically mention
ebXML.any longer.
Are any of you using this for Order Management? or for anything else?
What standards are you using for the business documents? OASIS or OAGi
or X12? This concept was kicking around about 5 years ago, but I never
seen a trading partner request it in the "real world". In the high-tech
industry there has been some RosettaNet with the RNIF (which I heard had
some problems so some users switched to AS2), and occasional usage of
AS2 with a X12 payload.
