Steve,
I'm afraid your lack of timely, continuous upgrades is the source of
your problems. If you had decided to upgrade from 3.3 to 4, then 4 to
5.1 or 5.2, then from 5.2 to 6.0, you would have had fully supported
upgrades that took little more than running a well tested installation
procedure. I'm sure it's that way with most vendors. However, for your
first step you're looking at upgrading from an over ten year old release
to one that's only 8 or 9 years old. I would be surprised if Inovis
could locate the installation kits for you, even if they wanted to. If
they could, you would then have to deal with the OS and database version
issues as well.
If I were you and you wanted to stay with TLE, I would ask for a quote
from their Professional Services for a custom upgrade to 6.0 or 6.1. I
would think that most of your database tables could be migrated, with
default values added for the new rows and columns. However, that's
custom work. You *won't* find a tool anywhere.
