Just posting this for the recruiter thar presented me to AG:
Mainframe EDI programmer 
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: to 12/31/06
Location: Cleveland HQ
 
 
Contractor role: 
They will be analyzing the existing purchase orders generated from AG's systems 
and designing the corresponding EDI application format, and maps.  They will 
need business and EDI knowledge on purchase orders sent to vendors.
 
They will also be doing the same for invoices (810) sent to AG from the vendors 
and remittance adivces (820) sent to the vendor. Business knowledge of the A/P 
system funcationality will be helpful here.
 
They will be part of a team assigned to convert the existing PO's, invoices and 
remittance advices to EDI which will be sent to and from a 3rd party software 
WEB system that matches these documents, monitors and reports status on such.
 
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong EDI experience on mainframe Gentran: Basic version 6.0 (or above, we 
have 6.3) online and batch processing.
Needs to be a good analyst and have strong EDI skills in application and 
mapping development.
Skilled in Mainframe Cobol, JCL, and IBM utilities 
Strong problem-solving skills
Good written and oral communications skills
