Detailed Job Description
Position: Enterprise File Transfer Gentran Administrator
Rate: Open + fulltime benefits.
Duration: Temp to Permanent (6 month temp)
Location: Woodlawn, MD
CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO, OR HAVE THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A US
GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE.
MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GREENCARD HOLDER
Description:
This position will be responsible for providing support and issue
resolution services for a Sterling GIS environment. The individual
will also participate in all GIS development projects, promoting and
upholding quality standards throughout the software development life
cycle until the product is in the production environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Creation of Trading Profiles/Relationships in Gentran and FTP for
Production Customers and Carriers.
Receive/Send transactions/data to the Application.
Set up/maintain the Process Control and Communications for Outbound
and Inbound Processing.
Verify the output with Input using the Data Requirements, Data map
and EDI Standards.
Validates that applications operate as defined by functional
requirements.
Summarizes and reports daily activity/resolves open issues.
Supports new and existing products to plan and execute tests, develop
detail Test Plan, and utilizes Implementation Guides and functional
specification designs to develop test requirements and define test
environment.
Coordinate with Integration Managers/Lead to develop Business Use
Cases and Test Data.
Internal Integration testing with the Application:
Works independently and handles multi-projects and deadlines.
Required Skills:
Experience building Business Processes in Sterling's Gentran
Integrated Suite (GIS).
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Strongly versed in SQL
Desired Skills:
Some experience with Sterling Connect Direct.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work
experience.
