Hi Fred, In addition to the Seeburger XI adapters that you mentioned, BIS is our traditional B2B / EDI engine. It is certified by SAP for IDOC and Netweaver. We have excellent references in the CPG space to include Whirlpool, Pilgrim's Pride and others.
For smaller companies who aren't quite ready to take the XI plunge we offer BIS with a guarantee that it is fully migratable to XI with our EDI adapters. This allows an immediate, fully SAP certified, lower cost upgrade of EDI systems with the ability to support a longer term Corporate XI strategy. Best Regards, ----- Original Message ----- From: Fred Domke To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2007 12:39 AM Subject: [EDI-L] SAP EDI Recommendations A client company that manufactures food ingredients (not CPG) has no EDI capability and is about to take the plunge. They are heavily invested in SAP R3 (4.7) and evaluating alternatives. One choice is the SAP-partner Seeburger/iWay/XI approach. And IBM has been very successful in showing the benefits of all things WebSphere. My question for the group is what would you recommend for this company to get a good return on their investment as they migrate to a newer version of SAP and SAP rolls out more robust versions of NetWeaver? Tight integration with SAP is desired, but it will need to accomodate the inpending upgrade. Thanks for your input. Fred Fred M. Domke, President Business Integration Technology, Inc.
