Hi,

WS_FTP Pro (and probably the others as well) has a debug mode that 
allows you to see exactly what is being sent and received.  You should 
be able to pick up an error message from that.

Things to watch out for:
1. Always use binary mode.
2. You will most likely need to use PASV mode, but try with/without.
3. Check your firewall configuration.  Remember that FTP uses 2 TCP 
channels; 1 for control, the other for data.  The fact you can login 
means that the control channel is open, but your firewall may be 
blocking the data channel (especially if PASV is not being used).
