Andy,

You might wait for the Microsoft BizTalk Release 2 coming out sometime this
spring. It will have native support for EDI including the HIPAA
transactions.

There is currently a HIPAA EDI adapter for BizTalk.

Subject: [EDI-L] Hipaa and EDI help

Hi,

I work at a third party benefits administrator and need help on
HIPAA EDI. We are slated to buy Websphere for part of the project
but have heard that it's HIPPA plugin is not great. We are a
Microsoft shop. I am looking for anybody's experience or thoughts
regarding BizTalk, Websphere or any other product. Any experience
with EDI and Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates would be greatly
appreciated.

We will be exchanging/sending Hipaa Transaction Sets:

Eligibility Status 276/277
Cliam Status 76/77
Request for Auth(PreCert) ?

Any thoughts or experience in doing EDI with Blue Cross Blue Shield
please contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:a_brons%40msn.com> com.

I am also looking for any recommendation of consultants for our Blue
Cross Blue Shield EDI implementation. I am on a tight deadline.
Dates have been moved up by six months and I need help.

andy
