Well said, Art.
I'd like to take this opportunity to request that I not be contacted via
Yahoo! IM by any more people who want me to do their job (or their
homework) for them.
If your sales team lied to the customer about your capabilities, I'm
afraid I can't do anything about that.
You and/or your company will have to legally acquire the tools,
documentation and training you need, just like I did.
And, while I don't really buy it, if you're looking for this kind of
information for your university thesis, look to the university to
provide the tools/documentation/training you need.
They may have special arrangements with the vendor(s).
Demanding for working modules, etc. will not be honored, simply ignored.
It's been said many times on this list, but to repeat...
EDI isn't as simple as it seems.
It's not like learning a new programming language.
The whole idea revolves around a strict set of rules that aren't all
included in the "click and drag" interfaces available.
Experience is a harsh mistress, but she is the only one who can
ultimately make you successful in the world of EDI.
Thanks,
Martin Morrison

If it was a statement, it was, in some respects, misleading.
Many cannot
send EDI transactions using [the] most commonly used transaction
sets.
Persons and firms without EDI capability are unable

Persons wishing to send 3PL warehouse information cannot use

Persons wishing to send HIPAA (or HIPPA if you cannot spell)

Firms who think they can outsource EDI to the lowest bidding
"EDI

I hope this clarifies.

Was this a question? Or, was it a statement. If it was a
statement,
thanks...I guess.
