I agree with John. I did a project a while back for a client that was
running, Cleo Lexicomm, GIS and iSoft all at the same time to talk to
different partners. I consolidated them down to a single AS2 client. I
choose the Lexicomm product, because it was very straight forward and easy
to use. iSoft was my second choice and the GIS product (in my opinion) was
very complicated and difficult to get simple information out of (like cert
names, URLs, port numbers in use, etc).

The support for Lexicomm was OK, but not stellar. They generally like to
deal with you on an email basis, and rarely answer the phone. You have to
leave a message and get into the call back queue. I did find if you pushed
them, or sent an email to support with a very specific request or question,
they did respond fairly quickly.

Subject: Re: [EDI-L] AS2 software Cleo or Sterling Commerce

Over the past 9 months I have installed the Cleo LexiComm software twice at
two (2) different companies in order to do AS2 communications. In both cases
I have used a digital cert in order to encript the channel, as well as, the
data payload. I have found the Cleo software very easy to use and it has
done a great job in communications.

The first install was in the barge industry and the company that I was
working for at the time was going to use AS2 to send and receive data from
Sterling Commerce.

The second company is in the automotive industry and they are using AS2 to
send and receive data from Covisint Connect.

Hi,

I'm trying to do an analysis on which is the best AS2 software GIS AS2
or Cleo VLTrader. Can anybody tell me which is the most reliable and
easy to setup.

Thanks,
