Manager needs someone with a very strong mainframe background - 
Cobol, DB2 and CICS.  In addition, candidates must have EDI 
transactions experience ( Any EDI transaction experience is fine ).  
If they have any exposure to Gentran, it is a major plus, but not 
required.  


 
 
Essential Functions:

·Develop and maintain compound/complex programs in multiple 
 programming languages:  Mainframe TSO, ISPF EDI , Cobol, CICS and
 DB2 
·Interface with project team and users.
·Query, extract, and update data in multiple databases
·Quality assurance activities such as documentation and code review
·Create/update process documentation
·Identify and recommend process improvement solutions
·Update relevant administrative tracking tools
·Ad hoc projects as assigned
·Problem resolution, fixing production problems

Job Qualifications:
·An expert in COBOL programming language (5 + years of experience) 
·Experienced in IMS Database processing
.Strong expereince as Mainframe / EDI lead ( manage teams )
·Experienced in CICS programming
·Experienced in DB2 Development 
·Strong experience with EDI ANSI X 12 Transactions (270,271,276 
 and 277)
·Healthcare Industry experience ( IT
·Excellent problem solving skills
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills
