I have 2 EDI Mappers and 3 EDI Communications positions available in
Raleigh, NC. These positions are 6 month contract to permanent
positions located in Raleigh, NC. I have included both job
descriptions below. The ability to obtain a security clearance is
required. The hiring company will obtain that for the individual.
Must be a US Citizen, no felonies and no travel outside the US for 30
days or more, unless work related.
EDI-MAP EDI Mapper (need 2) Contract-to-hire (Six months)
We are looking to reinforce our current EDI team by adding 2
additional resources to better support the company and its ambitious
future plans. In this position you will have the opportunity to work
in a challenging environment on a team that consists of dynamic
professionals who are encouraged to share knowledge and insights. The
mission of this group is to support transaction and file transfer
services between postal business applications, the Enterprise Data
Warehouse and internal and external business partners. Your main
responsibilities include:
* EDI mapping and analysis which includes design, development and
review of data maps
* Establishing relationships, monitoring and maintaining information
on EDI activities with partners, third-party vendors, and company
business units.
* Coordinating EDI testing and trading partner implementation
initiatives. Creating Partner Implementation documentation.
* Responsible for testing and production mapping issues
* Maintaining high level presentation and senior level technical
support role in addressing and resolving critical technical problems,
conflicts, and issues.
* May perform system maintenance and enhancements necessary to
accommodate partner system changes
* Maintaining all required mapping documentation
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of overall IT work experience.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting EDI systems
utilizing any of the following: Gentran, Harbinger, PGP, or similar
mapping tool.
* Highly desirable to have experience using: Messageway and/or
Cyclone Commerce's TRACKER.
* Some knowledge/experience working in a UNIX (Shell Scripting in
Korn) environment required
EDI-COM EDI Communications Analyst (need 3) Contract-to-hire (Six
months)
We are looking to reinforce our current EDI team by adding 3
additional resources to better support the company and its ambitious
future plans. In this position you will have the opportunity to work
in a challenging environment on a team that consists of dynamic
professionals who are encouraged to share knowledge and insights. The
mission of this group is to support transaction and file transfer
services between postal business applications, the Enterprise Data
Warehouse and internal and external business partners. Your main
responsibilities include:
* Define, design, and implement EDI related network communication
solutions using the UNIX platform. Propose systems enhancements
(software and hardware)
that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
* Responsible for the day-to-day development and administration of
the EDI applications on UNIX equipment which is located in a remote
location.
* Project tasks may include B2B COTS software implementation,
configuration, and maintenance. (Cyclone Interchange 5 and Messageway
4.1)
* B2B encryption software management
* Production support (on-call)
* Technical point of contact for Business Partner implementations
* Resolving testing and production related communication issues
* Administer as appropriate EDI software such as Cyclone Interchange,
Messageway, TLE on Unix, or Gentran on mainframe.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of overall IT work experience.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting EDI
communication tools
* Experience with EDIINT on Unix systems
* AS2 or similar encryption experience
* Strong Perl scripting experience, highly desired
* General Unix user level experience required. More advance Unix
knowledge preferred.
Unix system administration experience will also be considered as an
alternative to EDI experience.
* General understanding of TCP/IP networking a plus
