I have 2.5 years experience working for a third-party EDI provider.
I do software quality assurance and EDI analysis on 850/856/810
transaction sets. My primary job is to ensure vendors of major
retailers(Walmart, Target, etc) meet the EDI guidelines per retailer.
Our company has it's own translator, mapping tools, etc.
I want to build on my technical skills but I'm not sure which way to
go. Since I'm a "data analyst" I was thinking XML and SQL. XML
because it's widely used and I have some experience. SQL because it's
for querying RDBMS. So, by learning both, I will have a more rounded
foundation for a new job search.
Any other suggestions on technologies to learn?
