DCS seeks an EDI coordinator fluent in German to assist an east coast
U.S. manufacturer launch EDI with about 10 German mass merchants.
This is a part-time contract position that would be ideal for an EDI
specialist between jobs. Some of the tasks would need to be done
during German business hours (GMT +1).
The duties include:
1. Contacting the Trading Partner for their EDI guideline.
2. Interpreting the requirements for the EDI mapping and the
data transmission persons.
3. Submitting tests and interpreting responses.
4. Converting to production mode.
5. Being available for questions and later to add Trading
Partners.
The work would begin in January and the rate is $55 hourly. Two
years full-time mapping experience is required. This is a part-time,
temporary, contract (1099) position.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge and experience with most retail and supply-chain
related EDI transactions.
2. Ability to analyze maps and communicate promptly and
effectively with programming and networking staff.
3. May answer technical questions for upper management regarding
trading partner issues.
4. Serves as a technical resource to users, researching issues
and coaching on appropriate resolution methods.
5. Education: Two years of college completed.
