We were happy to see them moving to the Kmart systems, but were not to thrilled to see they are not moving to the same method of ordering. We will still continue to receive thousands of small POs, even though Kmart just orders through the DC. What EDI system are you using? Our Apps don't actually consolidate invoices internally, but with Gentran and some SQL we can combine a pile of Invoices into one. As many of you are aware, Sears is finalizing a move to a "Kmart" style of EDI. As part of the process, they are requiring consolidated invoicing. The Malcoa software we use, can not produce a consolidated invoice. From what I understand there are approximately 70 more TP's who are not able to do consolidated invoices because of their MRP software. Does anyone have a solution they are using? Inovis is offering a solution, but they want 12 TP's to commit upfront, and basically want 5K for the first year, and then 2k after. To date only 5 companies have signed up. So, this is not looking like a viable solution. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
