Thanks everyone for their excellent suggestions.
The missing UPC prefix has been revealed !!!!

Here's the lowdown.

GS1.Canada had the info but was not interested in giving it out.
This would have cost the client big $$ to become members from now until
eternity. In addition, the actual prefix would have been 'lost', since
GS1.Canada would probably have issued a new prefix. (I'm curious... If they
would have registered, would GS1.Canada give them back their original prefix,
or a new one... I'll never know)

GS1.US went above and beyond, to research and give us (at no charge) the UPC
prefix that my client obtained back in 1994.
We would gladly pay the $50.00 for a new certificate, but they can only issue
GS1.US certificates.
They did NOT have the information in their database, and it is NOT online. I
checked using another Canadian Client's info.

FYI: It starts with 779xxx

This will only cost the client an hour (or two) and has added to my unfortunate
experiences with GS1.Canada

Hopefully, the next Canadian company with the same problem will have more
success...
